CANCELLATIONS FOR RESERVATIONS FOR THE PERIOD 16.3 - 31.10.2020
Reservations made at flexible prices:
Reservations made directly with the hotel, Reservations service or on the hotel's own website at flexible rates and cancellation policies: you can cancel your reservation free of charge by 18:00 on the day before the day of arrival.
Reservations made from Abroad at prepayment rates:
Prepaid and non-refundable reservations and reservations with arrival from countries with entry restrictions to Finland made before April 6th:
If you do not want to transfer the date of your prepayment reservation but would like to cancel it, we will refund the advance payment to the Kämp Collection Hotels gift card. The gift card is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
Prepaid and non-refundable reservations and reservations with arrival from countries with no entry restrictions to Finland made after April 6th:
If you have made a prepayment reservation after 6.4.2020 through any booking channel or at any time and wish to cancel your booking, we will not refund the prepayment you paid. However, for bookings made directly through the hotel's own booking channels (Reservations service or website), you have the option of postponing the booking free of charge on time. Please note that a change of date may have an effect on the price of the reservation.
Domestic reservations made at prepayment rates:
The usual cancellation conditions and rules apply and you can find our booking conditions here. The terms of your booking depend on the type of booking or contract you have made. You will find the cancellation policy of your booking in your booking confirmation or agreement. You can check with your insurance company to see if you are entitled to compensation for travel and possible cancellations. If the reservation is made with a travel agency or a third party, please contact the initial travel agency or booking entity in order to verify your cancellation or amendment options.
Terms & conditions for closed hotels:
If you have a reservation to a hotel that is temporarily closed, we will contact you and transfer the reservation to one of our open hotels in the city.
You can also transfer your reservation free of charge and book any time until 31.12.2020 subject to hotel availability. If you have a prepaid booking at one of our closed hotels and do not want to transfer the booking, you can cancel it. In this case, we will refund your prepayment to the Kämp Collection Hotels gift card. The gift card is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
If you have made your booking through an online travel agent (Booking.com, Expedia or any other online travel agent), you must transfer or cancel your booking through the same online travel agent.
For other dates after 31.10.2020, the following cancellation policy applies:

We apply the following conditions to insurmountable obstacles to individual bookings, group bookings and events:
Individual room reservations
Reservations made directly through the hotel, sales service or online service where the guest is coming from a country subject to a travel ban can be canceled free of charge. If the reservation has been paid in advance, we will refund the payment to the Kämp Collection Hotels gift card.
Reservations made directly through the hotel, sales service or online service where the guest does not come from a country subject to a travel ban are subject to the normal cancellation policy. You will find the booking conditions in your booking confirmation.
Group bookings and events
In cases where the contract with the customer includes a list of specific events or circumstances and the list mentions an epidemic or pandemic as such a circumstance, the coronavirus can be considered a force majeure.

The ban on holding public meetings and events announced by the Finnish authorities on 12 March 2020 does not per se apply to the day-to-day running of the hotel (ie room rental, breakfast, dinner, etc.) but to events for the public with more than 500 participants. The ban does not currently apply to private gatherings or corporate events (such as conferences that are not addressed to the public).
In cases where the contract with the customer includes a general force majeure, without specifying specific events or circumstances, or if the contract with the customer does not specify a force majeure, a corona outbreak is not considered a force majeure unless specifically prohibited by the authorities (hotel recommendation or guidance). there are insufficient grounds for applying the force majeure rule).
In cases where the contract with the customer unilaterally defines the force majeure only by the hotel or does not define it at all, the customer cannot invoke the force majeure.
Security in our hotels
The safety of our customers and employees is our top priority. To minimize the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), Nordic Choice Hospitality Group incl. Kämp Collection Hotels has taken measures to maintain the safety of our customers, staff and the public.
We have summarized below the measures we have initiated and the conditions for cancellation of a special situation due to a coronavirus.
All hotels owned by Nordic Choice Hospitality Group follow the recommendations, guidelines and regulations of the health authorities in all six countries where we operate our hotels and restaurants. We are constantly following the recommendations of the health authorities and updating our policies accordingly.
We are especially vigilant and strictly follow safety instructions to ensure the health of our customers and staff. Our facilities and services are safe for our guests, as we strictly follow the instructions and regulations set by the authorities.
Should a situation arise where we have reason to suspect that our client or employee has contracted a coronavirus (COVID-19), we will follow the instructions provided by the health authorities. We have also entered into an agreement with a security company (SEMAC) from which we will provide guidance to hotel management in the event of a suspicion of a coronavirus on our premises.
Procedures to minimize the risk of infection:
- All our hotels follow a common action plan in the event of a possible infection
- We have received detailed instructions from the security company on how to act as a hotel operator in the event of an infection.
- Workers have been instructed to act appropriately in the prevailing situation and to act safely to avoid infection
- We refrain from shaking hands and avoid situations where people may be exposed to sneezing, coughing or the like.
- We have increased the use of disinfectant rinses and disinfectant sprays
- We urge our employees and customers to take special care of hand hygiene
